Not only do scholarships help people pay for college, but they allow people to further their education. The best education possible is what everyone deserves and what they strive for. College helps families pull out of poverty, and the effects of education are felt across communities and through generations. Scholarships help lead students to college to better their life for themselves and for their family. The average student loan borrower graduates with $29,400 in student loan debt. That simple statistic shows how important scholarships are.

I have nothing left to do. I am waiting for Wayland Baptist University To finish reviewing my information so that they may offer a scholarship. Academically I am trying to maintain my grades so that my GPA doesn't lower at all. So far there are only a couple of classes that i need to bring my average up on. This college has been presented to me in a sort of amazing way. Everything about it is playing out so smoothly. So as of right now this is the place for me.

I believe a college degree is necessary to being more successful. Honestly some schools could be just a little less expensive but other than that I believe that education price is fair. Attending universities is a great opportunity and professors that have taken their time to help further our education should be paid well. I believe that the education in the U.S. is far better then some places such as Finland. Finland begins their education system at the age of 7 as to the U.S. that begins at the age of 3. There are far better learning opportunities in the U.S. then Finland.

Over this spring break I spent a lot of time with friends. One of my best friends came down from college and we hung out. I worked out a little to stay in shape, I went to my grandmas house for tamales, I played a couple soccer games, and I worked on my English-poetry project. I also practiced for a play I am doing in Easter for church where I will be Jesus. I practiced my solo along with that. It was a very relaxing spring break.

1 The most influential person in my life was my youth pastor. He has really had a huge impact on my life. He demonstrated to me what it means to be a godly man in my life.
2 Yes, I do agree with Mr. Keating. I believe that each piece of poetry tells a story that is important to life. All of the real poetry that I have ever read isn't just a shallow meaningless chunk of words. It actually has substance and is deep. Poetry reveals emotion through each stanza, whether it's blatantly obvious or not.
3 Yes I agree because he's trying to get the boys to look differently about things in life. This will help them with future goals. I do not have a personal story, but do agree.
4 Not taking any moment for granted. I have learned life is too short to get upset and so bent out of shape about the small things. Learn to breathe through the tough times- that will make you strong. Also, not taking anyone for granted. People come and go,and that is something you will just have to except.

1. I do not think that Neil would have committed suicide, but I do think that he would have been unhappy and uncomfortable for his entire life. He never liked what his father had planned for him to do in life. He wanted to take up acting and his father was not impressed, he only wanted his son to become a doctor and provide for a family. Mr. Keating only took part in Neil's life when he told Neil to be his own person and pursue his dreams. This may have caused his suicide, but overall, Neil was never happy.
2. I believe that Todd is the most brave of the Keating boys. He is very shy throughout the movie and barely ever talks, but in the end he stands up for what he believes. He believes that Keating is a good teacher and teaches the boys good ways to get through life. On the other hand, Cameron was the coward in the film. He never feels like it is safe to go with the boys to the cave for the Dead Poet's meetings. In the end of the movie, Cameron is the one that turns in all of the boys that attended the meetings and they were all told to sign for the resignation of Mr. Keating. If Cameron would not have been so scared of everything, Mr. Keating most likely would still have his group of boys that followed him.
3. I believe that Keating did place the poetry book in Neil's room. He knew that Neil was the one ready for the challenge, and he did not want to be the one to stop him from chasing after what he wanted. Even though Keating knew that it was not the best idea, due to the administrations issues with reckless behavior, Keating believed that the boys needed to find their true potential.

Discussion
- Women back then were raised very differently from today and that was to be one thing, a house wife. They were taught that they were only good for and supposed to cook, clean, take care of children, listen to whatever the husband said, and to have dinner ready by the time the husband gets home. Katherine Watson views women as equal to men. Not a lesser being but the fact women can achieve or do whatever they would like. She believed that women were meant for than just being a simple housewife.
- From my understanding, the word subversive is it means to undermine the power and authority of an established system or institution. For example, how Ms. Watson did not follow the syllabus she was given to teach her class with. Also how she deliberately disobeyed some of the key rules at the University. This is clearly some of the main reasons why Betty called her subversive.
